What does a Traders Association do?
We are here to support businesses like yours, to be available to you and offer help or advice if ever you need it – you only need to contact us. We meet regularly during the year to discuss local topics of interest to traders, anything from parking to graffiti – offering a way for you to meet other local traders, air any suggestions you might have for us as an Association, or how local trading conditions might be improved.
We can also represent you, your ideas or grievances at Local Government (LGA) meetings; these are organised by Bournemouth Chamber of Trade & Commerce and attended by local Councillors, the Council’s Chief Executive, heads of departments and others – with representatives from local trading groups such as ours attending to discuss local issues and influence local decision-making.
We will also communicate to our members, any local or regional funding grants, business development opportunities and other initiatives that may benefit our trading community.
