Fox Cafe, Redhill Park

Now open under new management

The café at Redhill Park Pavilion opened this month under new management, renamed the Fox Café, and it’s already proving very popular. It’s owned and operated by the council, and some of the money you spend there will be put towards making Bournemouth’s parks a little bit better.

Open daily  10am – 5pm

The café serves a full English breakfast, a choice of other breakfast delights (gluten free & vegetarian options available), locally-made gourmet pies and quiches, paninis with a range if fillings, together with cakes & scones. A toasted tea cake and pot of tea will set you back a mere £2.95 (at the time of writing).

You can also hire the event space upstairs for a private party, or pop-up restaurant.

The paddling pool is currently being prepared for the summer season – it opens next month.

There’s plenty else to entertain you in the park – with the playground, tennis courts and of course the ice creams! Tennis courts can be booked at the café, just £6 per court, per hour.

No more Bowls

Unfortunately the Redhill Park Bowls Club closed at the end of 2017, bringing to an end its 80 year history in the park. A decline in membership numbers, rising costs and loss of council funding meant that the club struggled to maintain the green and was losing money each year. The club opened at Redhill Park in 1937.
