A taste of Italy in the heart of Moordown!

It takes more than exquisite cooking to make a memorable meal. We at Da Vito believe an intimate atmosphere in the right location, personal and attentive service and great company are what separates a delicious dinner from an unforgettable experience.

Our meals are prepared using only the freshest ingredients, cooked in our kitchen the Italian way. We specialise in fresh seafood, delivered daily from sustainable local sources.

“An unassuming frontage in a quiet suburb of Bournemouth, but hides the best and most authentic Italian food in the town. They catered a private party for 35 at lunchtime at a very reasonable price, and I think it would have fed fifty! We have eaten there in the evening many times, and it has always been excellent. The wine list is varied and interesting despite being inexpensive.”

You’ll feel right at home at Da Vito, making it the perfect place for a family meal. Start off by sharing some antipasti, such as the calamari fritti served with a delicious mayonnaise dip, before moving on to the main affair. We recommend the tortelli cinghiale (rustic ravioli stuffed with wild boar and mixed herbs) served in a sauce with porcini, garlic, tomato and touch of cream. Or the branzino (sea bass in an aniseed and cream sauce).

“We popped in here for dinner during the week. The waitress was friendly and attentive – it gives the impression of being a happy place to be. My partner and I both had fishy pasta dishes. Both done to perfection. And the tiramisu for dessert was to die for. We will be going back.”

“Absolutely fabulous meal! I love lobster and the way it was done was perfect. Inside it is beautiful, very authentic Italian. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be going back on our next visit to Bournemouth.”

“We had pasta stuffed with salmon and heart shaped pasta stuffed with mozzarella and scallops that melted in the mouth, and Sea Bream and Sea Bass which tasted so fresh it was amazing! And squid and king prawns. If I could give 20 stars then I would. Highly, highly recommended. A proper Italian restaurant run by a proper Italian chef. Will definitely be back.”
