Still & Bedford Opticians

Proud to be one of Bournemouth’s longest established independent Opticians practices. Still & Bedford have provided excellence in optical care to the Moordown community for over 60 years, with the majority of patients joining our practice after recommendations from family, friends and GPs.

We have moved to the high street!

For many years based at Highfield Road, in September 2019 we relocated to high street premises at 922 Wimborne Road (previously home to Moordown Eyecare). The move included a full internal refurbishment, with brand new equipment and technology, and we welcome you to visit our practice to discover more about our new offerings.

You will find that we provide a wide range of NHS, private and specialist services, but for most people everything starts with a sight test which allows us to establish your ocular health and history.

Services include

  • Premium Eye Examinations
  • Contact Lens Consultations and Aftercare
  • Low Vision Assessments and Follow Ups
  • Children’s Sight Test
  • OptoMap Ultra Wide Field Retinal Imaging
  • BlephEx Treatments and Follow Ups
  • Bespoke Spectacle Frame Styling and Dispensing
  • Bespoke Spectacle Lens Dispensing

We offer lenses of all types, from single vision designs through to the latest varifocal lenses, which can be supplied with a scratch-resistant or anti-reflective coating. To complement these we have a comprehensive range of high-quality frames in both modern and classic styles.

Please call the practice on 01202 529414 with any questions or to enquire about our special offers or book a sight test; we look forward to hearing from you.
