Business Focus

October’s Business Focus in The Local Eye promotes the new MTA website and encourages people to let us know about Moordown businesses that we may not yet have included in our Business Directory.

Spend Local, Go Local, Support Local …

… with a Moordown Traders Association Member.

Bakers and builders, cafés and cleaners, accountants, gardeners, opticians and hairdressers  … the Moordown area offers a genuinely rich variety of independent products and services. And not everyone is on the high street! Now you can search for that retailer or tradesman you need, wherever they are, by using our new Moordown Business Directory. At our revamped website!

We’re building the Directory to be the only place you will need to visit to find what you’re looking for, locally … who sells or makes it, where they are, when they’re open and how you can contact them. Need a short length of timber to finish a project? Search ‘off-cuts’ and discover one of the last remaining independent DIY stores in Bournemouth! Fancy a handmade, hand decorated cake for a special celebration? You’ll find you’re spoilt for choice!

When you choose to use an independent local business you help to:

  • Celebrate the uniqueness of our community
  • Support local jobs
  • Encourage entrepreneurship
  • And help make Moordown a destination for others

Can you help?

Because we’re still building our Directory we would also welcome your input. If know of a Moordown business we haven’t yet included, just get in touch and tell us about it. If you own a business, then we can offer you a free listing, or welcome you as a Member for only £20 a year.
